WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT TRIMA!

Mariama Trye fondly called Trima is one of Sierra Leone’s most progressive musician, educator, actress and businesswoman who has made significant inroads into both the music and movie arenas in the country since she became aware of her untapped talents. Trima is known for singing Afro Pop, R&B, Hip Hop and Blues. Trima began her acting career at an early age with pivotal roles in television and film. This popular icon started as a presenter for one of the chief and frequently aired television shows called, “STREET LIFE” back then in 2010.


Trima’s biodata reveals an uncountable off-screen play and top-charting song titled, “E Fiba Me Paddy” in which she was featured in 2011. During this period also, Trima was employed as a DJ/Presenter at one of SL most tuned stations – Radio Mercury where she continued to build up her personality and fan base across the regions of Sierra Leone through her enticing shows and ways of broadcasting. At that time, Trima helped to promote not only foreign music but lots of listenable and danceable Sierra Leonean music which earned her more respect in the country’s entertainment sector.








In 2012, she unleashed her first single “STOP” where she featured incredible Charlvin. Over the years, the singer has collaborated with other prominent musicians such as Dsahied, Paps D Mula, Mistar Mabee, Incredible Charlvin, Shakat, Kjunior to mention a few. It would interest people to know that she is a member of the DEF Unit music Crew, a household name in terms of producing heavyweight Sierra Leonean songs.



As condition is not permanent, Trima took a break off the entertainment industry over the last couple of years in order to pay more attention to a course dear to her heart. The returning of Trima into the entertainment industry saw her signed a record deal with the Colla Studioz in December 2018 and made an impeccable appearance by collaborating in another hit single “Odo Yewu” working alongside K-Junior.





Starting the New Year 2020, Trima surprised fans with a masterpiece Afro R&B hit called, “Break Me Heart” which was recently released all over the world. This song has sparked up numerous attentions from the industry in her homeland as well as around the world. The song is currently making the headlines on all top music streaming platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes, Amazon, Pandora, YouTube, Deezer and many more.
